People, place and the stories within.

Over two days at the Sidney Nolan Trust, on the borders of England and Wales, this project encompassed the people, spaces and details that make this such a distinctive creative place.

This photoshoot brought together a broad collection of imagery for the trust, from portraits of Creative Director & Curator, Antony Mottershead in the gallery, to artwork & installations, to the on-site cottage, cafe and expansive grounds.

People were woven throughout the imagery wherever it felt natural; walking through the grounds, spending time in the spaces - enjoying and experiencing the place as visitors would. The aim was to create photographs that felt genuine and immersive rather than overly staged.

The result, we feel, is a visual stori of the Sidney Nolan Trust as a whole - it’s people, it’s art, it’s landscape and the atmosphere that connects them.
